Biography
I am a graduate student at the University of California at Irvine. I have the honor of being a part of the UCI Computational Vision Lab where I am advised by Deva Ramanan. My interests include computer vision, machine learning, AI, optimization, and cloud computing. Please find more about my academic activities here.
I recieved my BS in Mathematical Sciences from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2010. I had the opportunity to be advised by Mehrdad Shahshahani at IPM Computer Vision group from 2007 until 2010. I was also fortunate enough to work under the supervision of Amir Daneshgar. I have visited the Computer Vision and Active Perception Laboratory (CVAP) at KTH University in 2008 where I worked under the supervision of Jan-Olof Eklundh. I have also collaborated with David Forsyth and Ali Farhadi on natural language image description in 2010.

Being enthusiastic about different aspects of data analysis, my friends and I started up LearnDataAnalysis website. In LDA, we aim to share news and ideas about data analysis research and industry.
